Offering paid work opportunities for over 30 years, Konocti Industries offers Supported Employment via work crews, which means you will be working with others in a group led by a qualified and caring crew supervisor. It is through these work experiences that we assist each individual to achieve their employment goals.

KIS-CLK offers person-centered activities that are specifically tailored to meet the needs and desires of each individual. Classes such as music, art, sewing, jewelry, crafting, and cooking promise creativity, communication, self-expression, and friendship. Staff endeavor to ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect and that consumers engage in activities that are both purposeful and fulfilling.

KIS-L offers a wide assortment of recreational, occupational, and educational opportunities, each designed to promote positive socialization, communication, and basic self-care skills. Accompanied by staff, consumers engage in activities such as delivering Meals On Wheels (serving lunch as local senior centers) and working at our People Services Thrift Store. In addition to acquiring and refining the skills necessary for employment, in many instances consumers have the opportunity to receive monetary compensation for their efforts.

If you are receiving services from one of our day programs and you require focused behavioral assistance, additional support providing 1:1 staffing is available throughout your program day.

If you are receiving services from one of our day programs and you require assistance with your personal care needs, support can be provided by a Personal Assistant.

This class focuses on “personal safety” in your relationships. It teaches how to identify unsafe situations and how to avoid them. The class teaches that there are all kinds of relationships and how we should respond to each type.

For all individuals, education provides an avenue for growth and development. Social-Sexual Educational Opportunities (SSEO) offers consumers the chance to learn more about themselves and others and encourages confidence and competence in the field of personal and social relationships.

Court Competency Training provides one to one training in the Lake County jail, or other sites deemed appropriate for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities who have been arrested and charged with a crime to see if they can become competent to stand trial.

Konocti Adventures offers exciting “facilitated” vacations in a Ratio of 1 Staff to 3 Travelers. Our all-inclusive events are priced to include travel, lodging, meals and all admission related fees. Enhanced staff support is available at an additional charge, if required by our Coordinator.

Konocti Traveling Camp offers fun and exciting tent-style camping events located primarily along the beautiful California coastline. Staffing ratios are no more than one staff to three campers.
